Dish Mint Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026.

1. Overview

Dish Mint helps you search recipes, browse cuisines and categories, save favourite meals, and pick random recipe ideas on iPhone.

This policy explains how Dish Mint handles information when you use the app. Dish Mint is designed to keep your saved recipes and favourites on your device.

Fatboy Tech does not store client information for Dish Mint on our servers. All Dish Mint app data is stored on your phone only.

2. Information stored in the app

Dish Mint may store recipe details, favourite status, cached category and area lists, cached ingredients, and related app settings on your device using local iOS storage.

This information is used only to run app features such as favourites, recipe browsing, filtering, cache controls, and faster access to recipe information you have already opened.

3. Recipe data and external services

Dish Mint uses TheMealDB to search recipes, browse by area or category, look up recipe details, and fetch random recipes. Requests to TheMealDB may include the recipe search terms or recipe identifiers needed to return the result you asked for.

Dish Mint can also show YouTube cooking links from recipe details. When you open a YouTube link, you leave Dish Mint and use YouTube under its own terms and privacy practices.

4. Data collection

Dish Mint does not require a Fatboy Tech account for the recipe browsing and favourites features described in this policy. Fatboy Tech does not collect or store your Dish Mint client information, does not sell your personal information, and does not use your Dish Mint data for advertising.

If the app uses operating-system services such as backups, notifications, or diagnostics, those services are handled by your device platform and account settings.

5. Data sharing

We do not share your Dish Mint favourites or locally saved recipe data with third parties. Recipe lookups and random recipe requests are sent to TheMealDB only as needed to provide recipe results.

Data may leave your device if you choose to export, share, back up, or transfer it using features provided by your device, operating system, or another app.

6. Retention and deletion

Dish Mint keeps local app data on your device until you update it, clear caches, reset favourites, or uninstall the app. Deleting the app from your device removes local app data according to your device platform's normal uninstall behavior.

7. Security

Because Dish Mint stores favourites and cached recipe data locally, protecting access to your device is an important part of protecting that data. We recommend using your device's passcode, biometric lock, and backup security settings.

8. Children's privacy

Dish Mint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
